Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has added new motion management capabilities to the company's Eclipse radiotherapy treatment planning system.
The new release provides the capability for clinicians to increase treatment precision for tumors in mobile areas of the body, such as the lung, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. The introduction was announced at this week's American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Philadelphia.
