Kyron inks deal with Varian

Brain imaging software developer Kyron Clinical Imaging has signed a deal to integrate its products with radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA.

Under the deal, the companies will work together to integrate Kyron's Prism multimodality and multiparameter imaging studies compatible with Varian's Eclipse treatment planning system. Eclipse will be capable of displaying image volumes that Kyron's Prism software registers into decks for clinical interpretation.

Prism decks include anatomical, functional, and physiological images, and can be exported, displayed, and utilized with the Eclipse system. This provides clinicians using Eclipse with information about the functional areas of the brain to avoid when treating patients so deficiencies can be prevented.
