Radiation therapy firm AccuBoost of Billerica, MA, has signed a contract with a cancer center in Mississippi for its image-guided breast cancer treatment system.
Baptist Health Systems of Jackson has installed AccuBoost, which supports breast immobilization, imaging, and treatment on the same platform. The system reduces the amount of tissue being irradiated, which results in less fibrosis or toxicity in the breast after treatment, according to AccuBoost.
