Siemens to debut rad therapy package at AAPM

Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, plans to debut a new real-time adaptive radiation therapy package at next week's American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting in Anaheim, CA.

IM-RealART can produce radiation therapy plans in 10 minutes or less, and it does not require patient repositioning or replanning processes, according to Siemens. It combines Siemens' CTVision system with its Prowess RealART treatment planning system.

The company will also highlight a number of products based on its syngo operating system: MultiModality Workplace, RT Therapist 4.1, and RT Oncologist.
