Acceletronics launches sales of IGRT unit

Oncology equipment provider Acceletronics announced commercial shipments in the U.S. of the TheraView KV image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) system at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting this week.

This system can be mounted to any brand of linear accelerator, which permits a seamless upgrade to TheraView KV IGRT. It is offered in single-head and dual-head configurations and is manufactured by Cablon Medical dba TheraView Technology in the U.S. Acceletronics distributes the system in the U.S.

More than 600 TheraView IGRT systems are installed worldwide, according to the Exton, PA-based company.
