Radiation oncology firm Nucletron introduced its new Oncentra VMAT (volumetric-modulated arc therapy) treatment planning system at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Chicago this week.
Oncentra VMAT is an independent fully open rotational planning system that works within the company's Oncentra external-beam treatment planning system for image-guided photon, electron, and proton treatment delivery, according to the Veenendaal, Netherlands-based firm.
The VMAT module is DICOM-compliant and is designed to enable volumetric-modulated arc therapy on a basic planning system.
