Elekta posts 2010 six-month results

Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has reported that demand for its clinical products and services remained strong in the first six months of fiscal 2010 (end-October 31), with order bookings increasing by 20%.

Net sales increased 10% to 3.13 billion kronor ($444 million U.S.), compared with 2.49 billion kronor ($353 million U.S.) in the first six months of fiscal 2009. Operating profit rose to 321 million kronor ($45 million U.S.), compared with 118 million kronor ($17 million U.S.) in the same time frame in 2009.

Elekta reiterated its financial outlook for net sales growth of more than 8% and operating profit of more than 35% in fiscal 2010.
