Radiotherapy and radioisotope developer Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products of Berlin has announced that the CEO of its IBt Bebig subsidiary, François Blondel, is leaving the company.
Eckert & Ziegler announced on March 24 that Blondel was resigning and was also giving up his duties as a director of IBt. IBt directors Edgar Löffler and Gunnar Mann have been tapped to oversee the daily management of the company.
As recently as last month, IBt Bebig had been in talks to enter the U.S. market for brachytherapy implants through a merger with its U.S. partner, Core Oncology of Santa Barbara, CA.
