Swedish oncology firm Elekta of Stockholm has named current chief operations officer (COO) Ian Alexander as executive vice president of the Asia-Pacific region.
Alexander will take over the duties on May 1, replacing Laurent Leksell, who has been acting in the position since December 2008.
Prior to joining Elekta, Alexander held several senior regional management positions, leading the European region at Bayer Diagnostics and the Asia-Pacific region at Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany.
