Radiation therapy firm Accuray of Sunnyvale, CA, posted lower financial results for the second quarter of its 2011 fiscal year (end-December 31).
For the second quarter of fiscal 2011, Accuray reported total revenue of $54.2 million, a decrease of 5% from total revenue of $57.3 million during the second quarter of fiscal 2010. Net income for the second quarter of fiscal 2011 was $4.1 million, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million during the same period last year.
For the six-month period, revenue decreased 14%, from $107.9 million in the same period of fiscal 2010 to $92.3 million. Accuray posted a net loss of $542,000 in the six-month period, compared with a net loss of $4.5 million in the first half of fiscal 2010.
During fiscal 2011, the company expects revenue to be in the range of $210 million to $225 million.
