Oncology firm Elekta has entered into a nonexclusive distribution agreement to sell the Delta4PT pretreatment verification system from ScandiDos.
Delta4PT is a quality assurance (QA) tool used to test radiotherapy treatment plans to ensure the desired dose distribution before actual treatments begin, according to ScandiDos. It allows users to verify and approve the delivery of complex radiotherapy treatment plans by simulating treatments and generating real-dose measurements in relation to a 3D target volume.
The agreement will make Delta4PT accessible to the Elekta customer network, further complementing Elekta's QA products portfolio and widening the breadth of choices for its customers.
