In addition, Martin Amstutz will take over Joda's previous responsibilities with the title of vice president of worldwide engineering for Oncology Systems.
Varian has also named Vy Tran as vice president of regulatory affairs and quality assurance, reporting directly to the CEO. She will be responsible for quality systems compliance, quality assurance, internal audits, document control, postmarket surveillance reporting, and quality systems training for Varian's worldwide manufacturing sites. Tran, who joined Varian in 1998, is also responsible for the firm's regulatory clearance and approval strategies.
