Radiation oncology firm Elekta has won a contract with the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle for four of its Versa HD radiation therapy systems.
The first of the four systems will be installed and operational later this year at the institute's facility on the Swedish/Edmonds campus, according to Elekta.
The Swedish Cancer Institute uses radiation therapy to treat approximately 200 patients daily at seven of its 10 locations, Elekta said.
