Dear AuntMinnie Member,
This was the week that we announced the winners in the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event recognizing excellence in radiology.
This year's winners seem to represent the arrival of a youth movement in radiology, with up-and-coming candidates topping most of the categories. There were also some tried-and-true appearances, however -- to check out the full list of winners, click here.
We'd like to thank everyone who participated in this year's contest: both AuntMinnie members who nominated candidates and members of our expert panel who selected the winners. We couldn't have done it without you.

Roundup from ASTRO
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) meeting just drew to a close in San Antonio, and we were pleased to bring you news of the conference in our Radiation Oncology Community.
Several articles from our ASTRO coverage landed in this week's top 10, including this article on how stereotactic ablative radiotherapy can improve survival in patients with oligometastatic tumors, or cancers that have been treated but then return. Another popular story was this article on how artificial intelligence is expected to impact radiation oncology in the years to come.
A multitude of new products were also launched at the meeting, including a CT scanner designed for radiation therapy planning, a brachytherapy afterloader system, and a novel PET-guided radiotherapy system that hopes to turn cancer's biological activity back on itself.
