RefleXion Medical has inked a deal with cancer treatment center developer Select Healthcare to install its RefleXion X1 radiotherapy systems at three new centers.
The X1 machine is designed to overcome the technical limitations that restrict radiotherapy to one or two tumors, according to the company. The system offers motion management for moving tumors using biological guidance and anatomic guidance for earlier-stage cancers.
The contract covers the installation of the technology at three new free-standing Select Healthcare treatment centers, the first of which is expected to open in late 2023, RefleXion said.
RefleXion X1 is currently cleared for stereotactic body radiotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and intensity-modulated radiotherapy for tumors located anywhere in the body.
