Registration is open for the American Society for Radiation Oncology's (ASTRO) 66th annual meeting, which will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., September 29 to October 2, 2024.

The conference is expected to attract up to 10,000 oncologists, clinicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals from around the globe, the society said. It is also expected to feature more than 2,300 research presentations and posters, expert panels and speakers, and storytelling sessions on current issues in radiation oncology.

This year's theme is "Targeting Provider Wellness for Exceptional Patient Care." This includes topics such as mental health support and parental leave, as well as a keynote from Bryan Sexton, PhD, a psychometrician and director of the Duke Center for Healthcare Safety and Quality.

Registered attendees can join the meeting in person or with virtual access to livestreams of all scientific and educational sessions. Additionally, for those attending in person, more than 170 exhibitors will showcase their technologies for cancer care in the ASTRO Exhibit Hall.

Both media and general registration can be found on ASTRO's site.
