Japanese clinicians have used RaySearch Laboratories' treatment planning system for radiation therapy RayStation with Oxray, a new treatment machine from Hitachi.
The treatment took place on June 17 at Narita Memorial Hospital in Toyohashi.
Oxray is a radiotherapy system featuring a Gimbal-mounted beam delivery system. Clinicians used RayStation to drive its motion-tracking functionality, dual-source conebeam CT (CBCT) image-guided radiotherapy for precise patient positioning, and dynamic swing arc capabilities. Developed in collaboration with Kyoto University Hospital, Oxray has been integrated into RayStation through collaboration between RaySearch and Hitachi.
