Konica Minolta Medical Imaging will introduce version 2.0 of its Sonimage HS1 handheld ultrasound system at the upcoming 2015 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
Version 2.0 features improved image quality, ease of use, and wireless connectivity for radiologists treating patients at the point of care, according to the vendor. For example, better differentiation capabilities on HS1 2.0 can enable clinicians to view subtle variations in the far field of the image, Konica Minolta said. In addition the firm said it has increased color-flow sensitivity as well as improved sensitivity to simple needle visualizations.
Optional features in HS1 2.0 include a triple transducer port, keyboard kit, and three-pedal switch. In workflow enhancements, Konica Minolta said it has also reduced keystrokes for many HS1 system operations to just one touch of a button. A cloud backup feature can automatically create a mirror image of the HS1/Image Pilot system, including images, patient demographics, and system settings, the company said.
