A Canadian keepsake ultrasound company won't face criminal action for providing expecting mothers with replica 3D images rather than the actual 3D ultrasound scans of their babies, according to a report by CBC News.
Investigators found that the mix-up at BabyView 3D Prenatal Imaging in Pickering, Ontario, was an honest mistake caused by a computer glitch, CBC News reported. Durham Regional Police had received 21 complaints from BabyView customers in May over the identical photos. BabyView has offered refunds to those customers, according to the article.
