Mindray to launch Resona 7 ultrasound scanner at RSNA

Mindray Medical International is launching a new premium ultrasound scanner, Resona 7, at next week's RSNA 2016 meeting in Chicago.

Resona 7 marks the integration of Zonare's Zone Sonography technology (ZST) with Mindray's workflow and user interface advances, according to the company. Mindray acquired Zonare in 2013.

Resona 7 offers B-mode imaging capabilities with high levels of resolution and image uniformity for all radiology applications, Mindray said. The scanner's Doppler modes and high-speed digital signal processing are designed to show hemodynamic states from the skin line to up to 40 cm in depth without compromises in frame rate.

In addition, Resona 7 has a customizable gesture-powered touchscreen that enables efficient workflow and an enhanced user experience, the company said. Features include a six-way adjustable control panel with electronic height adjustment, a 12.1-inch tilting multitouch screen, and an electronic floating control panel that moves left to right, up and down, and back and forth.
