Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has launched a new portable ultrasound scanner for musculoskeletal and orthopedic applications, as well as for interventional guidance procedures.
Sonimage MX1 allows for multiple imaging parameters -- such as frequency, focus, and compounding -- to be changed automatically by adjusting exam depth. The scanner's customized settings enable high image quality and resolution to be achieved reliably and repeatedly, improving the ability of physicians to make a confident diagnosis, provide therapeutic needle guidance, and monitor rehabilitation, according to Konica Minolta.
Sonimage MX1 features Konica Minolta's Dual Sonic technology, which manages ultrasonic noise and improves transmission efficiency, the company said.
The MX1 system has the same power and needle visualization as the company's flagship Sonimage HS1 scanner, and it is available immediately with a five-year warranty.
