Hologic has released a new ultrasound scanner, SuperSonic Mach 20, for imaging the breast, liver, muscles, and tendons.
The system features B-mode image quality and runs on the company's UltraFast technology, which is part of Hologic's line of SuperSonic ultrasound devices, the company said. Users can assess tissue stiffness with Hologic's ShearWave Plus elastography protocol.
The system is also ergonomic, incorporating the firm's SonicPad touchpad to reduce exam time and operator fatigue.
SuperSonic Mach 20 bolsters the company's ultrasound portfolio, which now includes three tiers of ultrasound technology to match the needs of a range of facilities, Hologic said.
