Dr. Elizabeth Morris from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) has been awarded a $600,000 Susan G. Komen grant to develop artificial intelligence (AI) models for predicting the risk of breast cancer.
Morris, who is chair of radiology at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, will first compile a database that will include patient molecular and genomic data as well as imaging and clinical outcomes, according to the university.
This database will then be used to create personalized breast cancer risk-prediction models.
