Week in Review: Post-COVID CT | SCCT 2025 coverage | Minnies nominations open

Our top story on AuntMinnie last week featured new guidelines for best practices in utilizing chest CT for patients with post-COVID residual lung abnormalities. The recommendations, which were produced by thoracic radiologists from multiple international institutions and societies, aim to ensure that patients receive follow-up imaging only when clinically indicated. 

Coverage of the 2025 Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) annual scientific meeting also drew considerable interest. Our most popular articles from SCCT 2025 reported on the diagnostic accuracy of coronary CT angiography (CCTA), how AI can predict coronary artery calcium scores from chest x-rays, and how CCTA can identify underlying heart disease in firefighters.
