3-D software developer Vital Images reported revenues of $2.5 million in its second quarter, up 124% compared with the $1.1 million reported in the second quarter of 1999. The revenue surge helped trim the Minneapolis-based vendor's net loss. Vital Images had a net loss of $802,000 during the period (end-June 30), compared with a net loss of $1.3 million last year.
