The Minnies are back for 2005

Everyone's favorite radiology awards competition is back for its 2005 run. That's right -- we're now accepting nominations for the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event to recognize excellence in radiology.

The Minnies give you the chance to recognize the achievements of your peers in the radiology community. Maybe you read a research paper that was particularly insightful, or have a colleague whose achievements deserve wider acknowledgement. Nominate them for a Minnie!

We'll be accepting nominations through midnight August 22. We'll then assemble your nominations into a list of semifinal candidates, and your votes will choose which two candidates will face off in a finals round that will culminate in the selection of this year's Minnies winners. The top vote-getters in each category will receive trophies to be presented at this year's RSNA show.

We've selected 12 categories that represent the range of radiology endeavor, including Best Radiologist Training Program, Most Influential Radiology Researcher, Best New Radiology Product, and Best New Radiology Vendor. Our Hottest Clinical Procedure and Biggest Threat to Radiology categories let you tell us what's hot in our specialty.

So head over to minnies.auntminnie.com to submit your nominations. Make sure to do it soon, as you've only got a couple weeks before the nominations phase is closed and we start the semifinals voting.
