Minnies awards enter semifinals round

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

Medical imaging's most eagerly awaited awards competition has entered a new phase as the 2006 Minnies move into the semifinals round.

We've assembled your nominations into a list of 211 candidates in 13 categories, ranging from traditional favorites like Best Radiologist Training Program to new categories like Best New Radiology Device and Best New Radiology Software.

In the next phase of the Minnies, our expert panel of radiology luminaries will choose which of the semifinalist candidates will go on to a head-to-head face-off between the top two vote-getters in each category. Winners will receive handsome trophies to be awarded at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago.

If you'd like to see the complete list of Minnies semifinalists in all 13 categories, just point your browser to minnies.auntminnie.com. And look for the list of finalists to be available toward the end of September.

When you're done, check out a new article we're featuring in our Cardiac Imaging Digital Community on new developments in echocardiography. Many of the latest echo technologies are being driven by advances in computing power, and are yielding powerful new clinical applications.
