The 2006 Minnies: The results are in

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

The votes have been counted and the results are in for the 2006 edition of the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event recognizing excellence in radiology.

This year's competition involved 221 candidates in 13 categories, ranging from Most Effective Radiology Educator to Best New Radiology Device. The winners were first nominated by AuntMinnie.com members, then selected by our panel of radiology experts in a two-step voting process.

Each of this year's winners will receive a handsome trophy, to be awarded at the RSNA conference in Chicago later this month. We'd like to congratulate the winners, and also thank the runners-up and the rest of the Minnies contestants for participating in this year's contest.

Once you've seen the Minnies results, why not give a read to a new article we're featuring in our Healthcare IT Digital Community on integrating information technology with quality improvement (QI) programs. Many healthcare facilities have lagged in integrating QI with IT, but that's beginning to change. Read all about it here.
