The 2020 edition of the annual RSNA conference begins tomorrow, November 29. For the first time since the 1940s, the RSNA meeting will not be held as an in-person event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the disruption the pandemic has wrought, the RSNA is steaming ahead with the meeting, which will be held as a virtual conference. And as with every RSNA meeting for the past 22 years, AuntMinnie.com will be there guiding you through the scientific, educational, and technology developments at radiology's premier meeting.
You'll find everything in our RADCast @ RSNA special section, an area of our site exclusively dedicated to RSNA coverage. We'll highlight feature stories on scientific presentations, coverage of vendor news, and video interviews to help you keep on top of what's happening in the virtual meeting. You can also access our Road to RSNA previews of the meeting, segmented by modality so you can easily find the information you need.
The RSNA has been releasing news about scientific content in advance, so you'll already find our coverage in the RADCast. For example, learn about a study that found that CT can help radiologists visualize the damage that wood smoke causes to the lungs. In another study, Florida researchers describe how they used 3D printing to create nasal swabs to be used for COVID-19 testing.
Other pre-RSNA coverage has included the relationship between anxiety and the progression of Alzheimer's disease, a connection between an increasingly popular weight-loss surgery and bone health in teenagers, and how socioeconomic factors can result in delays in breast biopsies.
