GE Healthcare is showing several new products this week at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) annual meeting in Chicago.
Among the introductions is a new vascular visualization software application called AngioViz, designed to enhance digital subtraction angiography (DSA) to give a new vision of vascular flow.
AngioViz determines the peak value of opacification for each pixel and the time it takes to reach peak opacification. The two parameters can be displayed as separate images or combined in several ways in a single color-coded image.
The information enables doctors to perceive both temporal and contrast intensity information in a single image and review the temporal DSA sequence. The software is pending clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
