Olea gets Canadian regulatory nods

French software developer Olea Medical has received regulatory clearances in Canada for new versions of its PerfScape and NeuroScape software for diagnosing stroke and brain tumors.

The company said it received the Health Canada Medical Device License for PerfScape V2 software for stroke diagnosis and NeuroScape V2 software for analyzing brain tumors. Olea's software applications work with CT and MRI data; PerfScape V2 enables doctors to make a diagnosis in less than one minute, while NeuroScape V2 enables the accurate diagnosis and follow-up of patients at any stage of tumor development.
