Siemens Healthineers has introduced its teamplay digital health platform, which features a data sharing and connectivity service, an interoperability module, and a marketplace for artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
Teamplay is a vendor-, system-, and device-neutral platform designed to foster interoperability, data integration, and analytics across departments and institutions, according to the company. It can be deployed via the cloud, on-premises, and in hybrid deployments based on edge computing, Siemens said.
The marketplace will provide users with access to decision-support software from Siemens, as well as third-party AI applications. New Siemens applications have been added to the platform, including teamplay Insights, AI-Rad Companion Chest X-Ray, AI-Pathway Companion Lung Cancer, and teamplay myCare Companion.
Teamplay Insights enables the creation of personalized dashboards, while AI-Rad Companion Chest X-Ray is designed to help radiologists read images faster and more accurately and to reduce the time needed to document results, according to the firm. AI-Pathway Companion Lung Cancer is a clinical decision-support application that aids physicians such as oncologists and pulmonologists in making diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.
The last new offering, teamplay myCare Companion, is a telehealth application that provides information to both care teams and patients with chronic diseases such as heart failure, Siemens said. It also supports care management programs.
