South Korean AI software developer Lunit has named Teri Thomas chief business officer (CBO) of its cancer screening group, effective July 1.
Thomas will continue to serve as chief executive officer of Volpara Health Technologies, which Lunit acquired in May 2024, while taking on the additional role, Lunit said. As CBO, she will spearhead sales and marketing efforts for both Lunit and Volpara Health. She will focus on expanding Lunit's business in U.S. and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) markets in 2024, followed by further expansion from 2025 onward, the company said.
Thomas's career includes a 20-year tenure at Epic where she played a role in the company's growth from fewer than 100 employees to more than 10,000, Lunit noted.
