North Carolina-based Scriptor Software has launched free AI-powered software employing generative AI to automatically create radiology impressions.
In connection with the launch, Scriptor Software's founder and CEO John Stewart, MD, PhD, a practicing radiologist and former NASA engineer, said radiologists should not have the bear the financial burden of a high-cost solution to generating reports.
The software, rScriptor Impressions, is designed to integrate with existing dictation systems. Compatible with current dictation software through simple Windows copy/paste functionality, rScriptor eliminates the need for complex application programming interface (API) integrations, according to Scriptor. In addition, rScriptor Impressions can produce AI-generated impressions in approximately 1.2 seconds, the company said.
rScriptor Impressions complements Scriptor Software's comprehensive radiology reporting software, rScriptor, for creating entire reports with or without AI, and its low-cost RESTful API for incorporating generative AI impressions into other applications, the company said.
