FIMI will bring a wide range of new display offerings to Chicago.
The Saronno, Italy-based firm will add new high-brightness LCD monitors, including 18-inch color (500 cd/m2 brightness) and grayscale (greater than 2,000 cd/m2 brightness) models with 1.3-megapixel resolution. FIMI will also unveil a 21-inch color display with 1600 x 1200-pixel resolution and 500 cd/m2 brightness, and a 21.3-inch grayscale display for mammography applications, with 5 megapixels of resolution and a brightness of 1,700 cd/m2.
FIMI will also highlight a new LCD monitor with a contrast ratio greater than 70,000:1 and a black level of less than 0.01 cd/m2. The monitor employs two LCD panels stacked back-to-back.
The company will promote backlighting technology developments, including its LED backlight and backlights with tuneable whitepoint.
In large-screen display developments, FIMI will demonstrate a 23-inch LCD monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, as well as a 30-inch LCD with a resolution of 4 megapixels (2560 x 1600) and a screen format of 16:10. Also on display: a 55-inch LCD with resolution of 2 megapixels (1920 x 1080), and two medical projection displays. One model offers resolution of 1400 x 1050 pixels and brightness of 1,500 lumens; the second yields 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution and brightness of 500 lumens.
FIMI will also display 3D technology, including a 42-inch 3D display that is switchable from 2D to 3D views, depending on the content being viewed.
Finally, the vendor will present Mosaic, an electronic lightbox consisting of six grayscale LCD monitors. Mosaic includes a control unit based on FIMI's ProScribe wireless mobile terminal.
