ADAC moves into cardiac PACS

ADAC Healthcare Information Systems has formed a strategic alliance with cardiac image management firm OptiMed Technologies of Fairfield, NJ, to offer a cardiac image archive and cardiac catheterization lab information system, called CAATi.

CAATi is designed to provide online access to all catheterization procedures and reports anywhere within a hospital. Physicians outside of the hospital will be able to obtain patient information via the Internet, by accessing the system’s Web server.

Based on standards such as DICOM and HL-7, CAATi is compatible with all catheterization systems, and will accept any digital, DICOM, or high-resolution analog output, according to Houston-based ADAC. CAATi has received Food and Drug Administration clearance and is available now, according to the company.
