Imageon Solutions has launched what it claims to be the first Java-based DICOM archive with the ability to support a broad range of media types, as well as remote, Web-based maintenance.
The Birmingham, AL, company is touting its e-CIMS Java DICOM Archive as adaptable to the needs of a single clinic or a multihospital delivery system. Available in three editions based on the size of a facility, e-CIMS offers complete Java implementation and portability to future platforms. A 30-day, free trial version of the entry-level version will be available soon from http://www.imageonsolutions.com/.
The archive employs an open database scheme for easy integration with HIS, RIS, CIS, CPR and work-flow managers. The system also can support a combination of archive media, such as RAID, CD-ROM and others. The product maintains a remote, Web-based administrative GUI so users can access archived material from any Internet connection.
