Washington Imaging Services of Bellevue, WA, has teamed up with PointShare to provide electronically transmitted radiology reports for physicians. The DeliverPoint system will allow referring physicians to receive reports and images within a matter of minutes rather than days, said Doug Gibson, CEO of Washington Imaging Services.
Physicians will have the option to access radiology reports in a variety of formats, including HTML-formatted e-mails. These reports can also sent directly to a clinic printer, or can be sent into an electronic patient record, Gibson said.
PointShare, also based in Bellevue, currently provides online service to several Washington healthcare facilities, including Kadlec Medical Center, Kennewick General Hospital and Lourdes Medical Center in Tri-Cities.
