GE Medical Systems has announced a partnership with information storage firm EMC to deploy an archiving solution for GE’s new application service provider (ASP) business. EMC of Hopkinton, MA, will provide the information infrastructure to support the ASP model, which will allow Waukesha, WI-based GE to host, manage, and deliver healthcare applications on a fee-per-use basis over secured Internet networks, according to the vendor.
