Canadian PACS developer ALI Technologies has announced the receipt of two large-scale PACS orders worth over $2.7 million (U.S.).
The Richmond, BC-based vendor announced that the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison has decided to expand on its 1998 UltraPACS installation, with the goal of connecting the 500-bed main campus and four outpatient clinics. The multiphase installation will connect 30 imaging devices in a single network, which will be accessible from 88 workstations at the main site and through additional network connections to the outlying clinics, according to ALI.
In another order, San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, CA, will be implementing UltraPACS for filmless image management and storage for its ER, ICU, NICU, an on-campus imaging center, and an off-campus imaging center, according to ALI. The 330-bed, nonprofit acute-care hospital will also be offering online image review to referring physicians through its UltraWeb teleradiology software.
