RamSoft debuts Ultrapro in U.S.

Ultrasound quality assurance and miniPACS firm RamSoft has announced the U.S. release of its Ultrapro PACS software. Ultrapro, which has been available in Canada since 1999, provides DICOM-compatible multimodality image management for imaging departments, clinics, and teleradiology centers, according to the firm.

The complete system includes patient scheduling, analog and digital image acquisition, archiving, retrieving, diagnostic processing, reviewing, printing, and communication, according to the Toronto-based firm. Video acquisition of ultrasound and fluoroscopy images is also included.

A basic DICOM-compliant multimodality diagnostic review station with Ultrapro PACS software and a PC is available for under $10,000, according to RamSoft. Ultrapro can also connect to any DICOM PACS server, workstation, imaging device, printer, or system, according to the vendor.
