Web-based PACS and radiology services provider Inphact of Nashville has signed a three-year deal to provide PACS capabilities to VHA of Irving, TX, the firms announced. The agreement will allow VHA healthcare network members to purchase PACS technology on a pay-per-procedure basis through Inphact's application service provider (ASP) model.
VHA members will be able to purchase Inphact’s Image Safe offsite digital image archiving service, featuring centralized image storage on optical laser discs, as well as RadWeb, a secure online image delivery system. They can also buy Irix, a fully integrated radiology information system that provides exam results, centralized scheduling, reporting and data tracking tools to clinicians, according to the companies.
The agreement includes Inphact’s TechTeam 24 x 7 technical support and RadServ radiology administrative services, including billing, transcription, and customer service support for distributing printed, archived images to remote sites, according to VHA.
