Kodak completes Lumisys acquisition

Eastman Kodak has completed its acquisition of Sunnyvale, CA-based computed radiography (CR) and film digitizer manufacturer Lumisys. The Rochester, NY-based film and PACS firm paid $4.05 per share for all of the outstanding stock of Lumisys.

Kodak plans to integrate the Lumisys ACR-2000 CR system into the CR portfolio marketed by its health imaging division. The company will also add Lumisys’ film digitizer product line to its suite of image management offerings.

AuntMinnie.com will remain a subsidiary of Lumisys and will operate as an autonomous business unit, according to company representatives.
