The Society for Computer Applications in Radiology has announced an expanded program for its 2001 annual meeting. The meeting will feature new learning opportunities, facility tours of electronic imaging activities at Intermountain Health Care, and an expanded SCAR University.
The SCAR University sessions will cover digital imaging, electronic storage media, teleradiology, economics of PACS, speech recognition, PACS purchasing, medicolegal issues, and data security.
The conference will also feature the release of Archiving Issues in the Digital Medical Enterprise, the second in a series of SCAR University primers. The primer will be available for purchase online and at the SCAR 2001 meeting, along with the first SCAR University primer, Security Issues in the Digital Medical Enterprise.
SCAR 2001 will be held from May 3-6 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
