Healthcare information technology startup CardioNow debuted an Internet-based service to manage cardiology images and related data at this week's meeting of the American College of Cardiology.
The outsourcing service, delivered via an application service provider (ASP) model, can integrate with all image archiving systems, according to the vendor. CardioNow said the service meets or exceeds all current security guidelines, as defined by the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
