Software provider Voxar has released version 3.0 of its Plug n View 3D software. The new version includes a number of new features such as enhanced 2-D/3-D linking, better print control, and improved handling of captured images.
Other enhancements include side-by-side 2-D comparison for the simultaneous display of two different series or studies, and support for the DICOMDIR file format. The Edinburgh, Scotland-based firm has also added 3-D movie capture capability and a "one-click" segmentation and volume measurement feature.
Voxar has enhanced navigational MPRs and incorporated shading on the 3-D volume screen. And customers can now "push" DICOM studies from their inbox to a compatible DICOM viewing station, server, or archive, according to the firm. Version 3.0 also includes more study and series information, and a DICOM activity tab.
