Image management firm eMed Technologies has released the first in a planned series of industry white papers. The first report, called Radiology Business Report #1, studies the impact of the Internet on the business of radiology.
The Lexington, MA-based firm followed the experience of two of its eMed.net customers, Bay Imaging Consultants and Summit Radiology, to prepare the 24-page report. The report provides analysis of the business side of radiology and the issues that impact success in its competitive environment, according to eMed.
The next paper in the series will explore the evolution of image management technology, examining how PACS, RIS, and the Web work together to help hospitals and radiology groups deliver premier service to clinicians and referring physicians. A free copy of the report can be obtained by calling 1-866-eMed-Now in the U.S.
