SALT LAKE CITY - Radiology information systems provider Webmedx has signed an agreement with PACS developer Amicas to create a Web-native RIS/PACS. The new product will be delivered via an application service provider (ASP) model, according to Pittsburgh-based Webmedx and Amicas of Newton, MA.
The first customer for the new system will be IRAD Services of Pittsburgh. IRAD is a radiology practice that provides Internet-accessible radiological reading and reporting services to clients in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, New York, and Virginia.
