EMed Technologies CEO Caren Mason has decided to leave the Lexington, MA-based firm. In a release today, Mason cited a long-distance commute from Wisconsin and responsibilities to family for her decision to resign. eMed's board of directors has initiated a search for Mason’s replacement.
Mason joined eMed in January 2000 from GE Medical Systems, where she had served as general manager of the firm's women's healthcare business. Previously, she had held senior management positions in GE's service business, as well as a senior vice president post at Agfa's technical imaging business group.
