Digital image management firm eMed Technologies is launching a free educational forum on the business of radiology. The Lexington, MA-based firm is inviting radiology business managers, radiologists, and imaging center directors to the seminars, which are designed to address the needs of the imaging center and radiology group practice market.
The first full-day seminar will take place June 20 at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flushing, NY. A second seminar is planned for Florida in August, according to eMed.
Topics will include:
- Strategic planning for the radiology group practice (by Patricia Kroken, president emeritus, Radiology Business Management Association)
- Bridging the gap from film to digital (by Michael Cannavo, president, Image Management Consultants)
- Sustaining productivity in the face of HCFA supervision requirements (by Claudia Murray, president, Provider Practice Analysis)
- HIPAA privacy regulations and their impact on technology investment (by Larry Ponemon, president, Guardent)
